Continuing Lecture Series
The New Family History Library in Machias
In its continuing lecture series the Trescott Historical Society
will be featuring a presentation by John and Sheila Look: “The
New Family History Library in Machias”, and how this facility,
maintained by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, can
assist the general public in searching their ancestors.
The Looks are co-directors of the
Family History Library (FHL),
which is a repository of microfilms on loan from the main library in
Salt Lake City, as well as local history books. Whether your roots are
here in the U.S., Canada or abroad you will find this program most
informative.
The event will take place at the Lubec Memorial Library on
Wednesday evening, September 8th, at 6:15 PM. Light refreshments will
follow the presentation, which is free and open to the public.
