Press Release – March 1, 2006
Presentatation on Maine
Local Real Estate Trends to be Discussed
March 15, 2006What's going on in the eastern Washington County real estate market these days? Who's buying? Who's selling? And why?
How about commercial and business properties? Which segments of the market are most active, and what percentage of sales are for long-term ownership and short–term speculation?
How much longer can prices of waterfront parcels continue to escalate? Is there any leveling-off in sight? Can we profile the types of people who will be buying property here in the next ten or twenty years?
What are the prospects for our younger people owning — or even renting — a piece of property anywhere near the coast?
Debra Holmes, a long-time area real estate broker, will be discussing these questions and sharing her knowledge at the next regular meeting of the Trescott Historical Society, to be held at the Lubec Memorial Library on Wednesday evening, March 15th, at 6:30. Storm date will be the next night.
This program is part of the on–going lecture series sponsored by the Trescott Historical Society and is free and open to the public. Refreshments offered by L. Healy. For further information contact Bonnie at 733–5548.
