October 27, 2004 Notice on Normal Meeting Times Due to a Lubec Memorial Library policy limiting Thursday use of their facilities, we will continue to meet as usual on the 2nd Wednesday of each month until the end of the fiscal year. Our holiday party will be held at the Lubec library on Wednesday, December 8, 2004, beginning at 5:30 PM The Trescott Historical Society by-laws provide that the Board of Directors review meeting times & places at its annual January session. October 2004 Meeting Presentation on Property Taxes by Robert Doiron, UT Tax Division •Regular business meeting 5:30 – 6:15 PM. •At 6:30 PM Robert Doiron, Supervisor of the Unorganized Territories Property Tax Division will give a presentation on the method employed in establishing the UT tax milrate. He will be accompanied by William Skinner, the Division's Deputy for Washington County. Resident as well as non-resident property owners of UTs are encouraged to attend in order to benefit from the latest information and statutes. The program is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be available following the question and answer session. You may also bring a nonperishable food item to be given to the Lubec Food Pantry in November. August 15, 2004 1:00 PM at Commissary Point in North Trescott off Rt. 189 From Lubec – Take the first dirt road after the old chapel cemetery on the right (before the bridge). From Whiting – Cross the bridge and turn left on the first dirt road. Annual Summer Downeast Picnic! August 1, 2004 12:30 – 4:00 PM at Quoddy Head Tuesday July 13, 2004 Annual Genealogy Exchange Lubec, Trescott, Cutler, East Machias, Whiting, Campobello and Grand Manan.
